WHAT TO DO IN ROME: THE NEW EXHIBITION SPACE
ROME AND CONTEMPORARY ART
Rome is known to be admired from all over the world for its classicism; in recent years, however, the increasing search for modern spaces used for exhibitions and events of contemporary art has taken hold.

A CULTURAL CENTRE WITH GREAT AMBITIONS

As the name says "La Vaccheria" was born on the ashes of an old Vaccheria, structured with its 1,800 mq2 of surface that has seen a restructuring and reconversion work like few in recent years. It is located in the area of Pratone delle Valli and the Park of Volusia, two areas significant from the environmental and archaeological point of view, in a large urban redevelopment project involving other buildings in the EUR area and stands as the most important cultural pole project of the years of Rome.
ANDY WARHOL & THE COW

Currently at "la Vaccheria" in the central part, the old stables, there is a unique exhibition on Andy Warhol the genius of pop art. The exhibition FLESH: WARHOL & THE COW was the opening exhibition of this new exhibition space. The exhibition that celebrates the King of international pop art has 80 works espsote, there are, among others, jars of Campbell, several covers of discs, portraits of Luza Minelli and Marylin Monroe.
At the center of the whole large room is then "Come", the Cow precisely reproduced in an eccentric way in various colors. " Come" is a tribute to the place where you are, where just before the cows lived , and the choice to pay homage with the works of Warhol be represents contemporary and cultural cut that you want to give to the place in a double-dressed.
SACRED OR PROFANE?
At the same time you can also visit the exhibition "Sacred or Profane?" where they exhibit 16 artists with a selection of their works that testify to the strong link with the territory in which they are hosted.
Both exhibitions can be visited free of charge and inside there is also a bookshop.
